Overview

An entry to the ninth annual NFL Big Data Bowl, built on league player tracking data. The analysis itself is the usual competition fare; the difference is what it is honest about.

The submission will state plainly what the analysis cannot resolve, and estimate how much additional data it would take to resolve it — the part most entries leave out. That framing is the point: a tracking model that knows the edge of its own evidence is more useful than one that reports a confident number either way.
